Session 1: Leveraging Agile in ever changing Business Landscape

I have been working in the IT industry since 1994. I am a PICT Alumni. Product development has been my core experience and is my passion too!

I have started my career as a developer and moved into various roles over the years. Switched from technical to a management and Sales streams 10+ years back. I have several years of experience in Banking, Healthcare and Welfare and Energy domains. I have had a long association with the AGILE and SCRUM journey!

Have been a pioneer in adapting some of the AGILE principles to our product development operations 10 years back! My team was the first team to get CMMI L5 certification with AGILE 5 years back. Recently setup up end to end operations for our Energy domain, both Oil & Gas and Energy Utilities in Tieto Pune!

An agile enthusiast and practitioner, Vipin Gupta has more than 14 years of experience in Technology as well as Process consultant. Started his professional life as a technical contributor and his last full-fledged technical avatar was SOA and JAVA Technical Lead. Almost 6 years back, moved in Program and Delivery management and had first brush with Agile wave. Got an opportunity to work in Manager cum Coach capacity in various programs and has been instrumental in establishing Agile Mindset and Practices at team, program and enterprise level.

Session Abstract: Agile has brought Business and IT out of silos and bind them together to work for common goals. Journey from waterfall days to Agile days has transformed the ways of working where team enablement and empowerment, faster feedback loops, iterative development, engineering practices are focused on. But in today’s world Business is changing like ever before. Where Apple and Amazon has pampered customers with fast paced feature releases, digitization has diversified the way business is done. This talk is about exploring the ways, how Agile can be leveraged in such a dynamic landscape where every day is a metamorphism.
