So, is innovation about following a process or is about allowing people to do what they want to do. If it is the latter, Agile Philosophy and methods should be a perfect happy hunting ground for innovators. But those who use Scrum sometimes think otherwise.

The iterative nature of Scrum and focus on a goal drive approach does lead to this belief at the outset. But Ken and Jeff (Authors of Scrum), think otherwise. As Jeff says in one of his recent articles “Both Agile and innovation are based on the simple act of learning how to see reality clearly, and on adopting a nimble approach to implementation”.
